The economic situation in our country has caused a great deal of financial stress for businesses and for the lenders who have loaned them money. What happens to a lender when a business loan is in default? A lender must find ways to collect their loans. Ideally, the process is handled in a way that minimizes the stress on the borrower and preserves the lender`s reputation. Our Connecticut-based debt resolution management client has a 12-year history of accomplishing these goals and their business continues to grow. To accommodate this growth, they are currently seeking self-motivated and results-oriented candidates for a critical collections position who have a minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience (including working with commercial clients) for the position of Senior Resolution Specialist.
Specific responsibilities of the Senior Resolution Specialist position include:
. Analyzing assigned files to gain an understanding of the client`s specific situation and developing a strategy to locate the borrower and the collateral.
. Contact borrowers and negotiate a successful resolution of the case.
. Coordinate the retrieval and transport of located collateral.
. Provide timely and accurate updates to the lenders regarding the status of all assigned cases.
The Senior Resolution Specialist must have:
. The ability to manage a very large case load and work well under pressure.
. The ability to analyze diverse data and draw appropriate conclusions.
. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
. Superior customer service capabilities including handling and solving problems, negotiation and strong, persuasive telephone communication skills.
. A consistent positive attitude, calm demeanor and the ability to handle confrontational situations without becoming emotional.
Other experience that is strongly desired and preferred include:
. An undergraduate college degree.
. Telephone sales or collections experience.
. Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
. Special consideration will be given to bi-lingual (English and Spanish) candidates.
